MANDATORY 

3 years experience, of AIX (4.2.1 to 4.3.3) and the RS/6000 architecture, along with demonstrable RS/6000 technologies including SSA; LVM; HACMP (4.2.2); shell scripting; TCP/IP; and RS/6000 SP technology and concepts. Exposure to RDBMS & DB2.  

Desirable Skills:  Exposure to non-core AIX product such as Communications Manager, Tivoli Storage Manager (ADSM) and Tivoli Workload Scheduler (Maestro) DirectTalk, Firewall 1, Websphere v2.02/ v3, Domino v4.6/ v5, eND V3.0.0, Callpath v6.2, Callflow v2.0, CICS, MQ Series and an understanding of Web technologies.

MANDATORY  

Ability to develop monthly reports/charts for Executive and Senior management teams, showing trends and recommendations. Preparation of meeting agendas, minutes/actions; documentation and template preparation and updates. COMS Notes Databases, Comparative reporting based on benchmark data and internal performance data.  

Desirable Skills:  Analyses/interprets/evaluates and solves problems. Utilises established practices/methods/processes/procedures. Knowledge of current Project Management methodologies.

CICS 4.1 Installations, Customisation and Support. Problem determination and debugging. Ability to communicate well with other tech. support teams - e.g. DBAs. Work well within a team and as an individual. Disciplined approach to documentation and change and problem Management. Available for standby and callout on a rota basis.    

Desirable Skills: MQ Series would be an advantage. Assembler programming and dump analysis would also be useful.
