Job Title:       LAN Consultant

Location:       West Midlands / Manchester, must be willing to travel

Salary:          Up to £50K + Bens

The Role: Produce LAN designs to meet customer requirements, order hardware, install/implement LAN and produce appropriate documentation with minimal guidance and management

Mandatory: You must have designed and implemented LANs successfully in the past. Previous experience of LAN analysis, taking customer/user requirements, recommending LAN solution, with non-vendor specific products, through to implementation and support. Produce documentation, Appreciation of LAN services from a delivery perspective as well as a technical perspective. Knowledge of other vendor products, Effective Communications 4 Years exp, Self starter, as remote management Leadership skills, mentor, coach and when required led junior members of staff.

Desirable Skills: Working knowledge of Cisco hardware is desirable, experience with other vendor kit is advantageous. Previous work with Commercial customers or in a commercial environment would be useful. Project Management Effective Task management.

Job Title :      Network Customer Engineer

Location:       London

Salary:           Negotiable depending on experience

The Role: Network Customer Engineering delivers pre and post sales support to  customers throughout the UK.

Mandatory: Technical Install, configure and maintain network (data communications) hardware products to agreed Service Levels. Problem determination on network (data communications) hardware, including Hubs, Bridges / Switches, Routers and TDMs. Maintain a level of knowledge on existing and emerging technologies.

Desirable Skills: Effectively communicate with both internal departments and Customers. Provide coaching to new team members. Work well within the team environment. Promote a professional image at all times.

Job Title:          Networking Consultant

Location:           Any UK

Salary:              Up to £55K + Bens

The Role: The role addresses network consulting and involves the development of client relationships; identification of business requirements, and the architecting of solutions, processes and services to enable clients to meet their business objectives.

Mandatory: A wide knowledge is required of the telecommunications industry, practices, trends and directions and strategies for data communication and their application within the networks of clients. Many consultants have a particular area of specialist skill but the key characteristic required is a broad range of skills and experience  that enables the consultant to involve himself in any situation and to be able to make a significant contribution from the outset.

Desirable Skills: You will be exposed to a broad range of challenging problems and can expect to expand existing interpersonal and project management skills along with technical leadership and analytical skills.

Job Title:     Network Customer Engineer

Location:     Edinburgh & Glasgow

Salary:         Up to £25K + Bens

The Role: This is a customer facing role that requires a high degree of Customer Care Skills. The role ranges from hardware maintenance, installation, through to Network Problem Determination and configuration / consultancy services and Multi Vendor Network data communications equipment.

Mandatory: Good communication skills, Well developed customer care and problem handling skills.  Knowledge of data communications principles / protocols, including LAN, WAN and Inter-Networking technologies.  Problem determination on network hardware, including Hubs, Bridges / Switches, Routers and TDMs.  Good working knowledge of TCP/IP  Frame Relay and ATM,  Analogue / Digital Voice Technologies, Electronic principals, Ohm's Law,  Voltage / Current etc.

Desirable Skills: Familiarity with Personal Computers, Windows and Windows Networking.
